Faith In Action ‘Companions That Are Wrong For Us’

people

Sometimes, the company we keep, doesn’t help us in our walk with Our Lord and Our Friend.

We know we can do all things through Christ Jesus, but not all things are good for us, and some may lead us into temptation.

Here are some scriptures from the Message Bible. that may help us understand that we should use His Wisdom in us, to avoid, people, items and so called pleasure, that would cause us to miss the Mark, of walking in the plans He has for us.

Proverbs 1 verse 10 “If bad companions tempt you, don’t go along with them.”

Mathew 26 verse 41 “Stay alert, be in prayer so you don’t wander into temptation without even knowing you’re in danger. there is apart of you that is eager, ready for anything in God. But there’s another part that’s as lazy as an old dog sleeping by the fire.”

1 Corinthians 10 verses 12 to 13 “Don’t be so naive and self-confident. You’re not exempt. You could fall flat on your face as easily as anyone else. forget about self=confidence, it’s useless. Cultivate God-confidence. No test or temptation that comes your way is beyond the course of what others have to face. All you need to remember is that GOD WILL NEVER LET YOU DOWN; He’ll never let you be pushed past your limit; He’ll always be there to help you come through it.”

1 Peter 1 verse 6 and 7 “I know how great this makes you feel, even though you have put to put up with every kind of aggravation in the meantime. Pure gold put in the fire comes out of it proved pure; genuine faith put through this suffering comes out proved genuine. When Jesus wraps this all up, it’s your faith, not your gold, that God will have on display as evidence of His victory.”

Hebrews 4 verses 14 to 16 ” Now that we know what we have – Jesus this great High Priest with ready access to God – let’s not let it slip through our fingers. we don’t have a priest who is out of touch with our reality. He’s been through weakness and testing, experienced it all – all but the sin. So let’s walk right up to Him and get what He is so ready to give. take the mercy, accept the help.”

James 1 verse 2 and 3 ” consider it a sheer gift, friends, when tests and challenges come at you from all sides. you know that under pressure, your faith-life is forced into the open and shows its true colors.”

There is nothing new, you will be tempted, you will have your emotions stirred, but remember Our Lord and Our Friend will never leave you or forsake you.

If you are going through something right now that seems to big. to difficult cry out to Him by saying something like this;

Dear Lord, I need your help, please give me your peace, your guidance, and your direction that I can and will come through this situation I now face. Thank You Father, in the name of Your Dear Son Christ Jesus {My Lord and My Friend}.

Leave it to Him now, count it all joy, for He needs you to be strengthen for what lies ahead and remember your overall destiny is eternity with Him

God Bless
