1 Peter 1 verse 13: “Therefore, get your minds ready for action, being self-disciplined, and set your hope completely on the Grace to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ”.
A new status, with Blessed Assurances, but it comes with A calling for higher living.
In 1 Peter 1 verses 2 to 13: We read about we have been given a ‘new birth’ into living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.
New birth, newness so we can:
Get our minds ready: Develop a devotion and prayer life. 2 Timothy 2 verse 15.
Ready for action: The fields are white for harvest, but the laborers are few. Matthew 9 verse 37.
Being Self-disciplined: Self-control is one of the fruits of The Spirit, Galatians 5 verse 22.
Set your hope: Remain focused on your calling. Ephesians 4 verse 1.
Completely on Grace: 2 Corinthians 12 verse 9.
The Revelation of Jesus Christ: He is The Son of The living God, The Messiah, upon that confession we will build, our lives, our work, our families, our ministries. Matthew 16 verse 13 to 20.
There is so much we can get out of each verse, but let us brace a few together and label them.
1 Peter 1 verses 13 to 21: Living out the holiness we have been given.
We must live out our distinctiveness, we have been made right, before God, because of what Christ Jesus achieved on the cross, we must live in His Righteousness to the world.
1 Peter 1 verses 22 to 25: God’s Word leads to brotherly love.
We have been given so much love. John 3 verse 16; We are to live out of that love.
1 Peter 2 verse 1 to 3: So search out the Word.
Should be an Honor, to search out more of Him.
1 Peter 2 verse 4 to 10: Christians are a new building; they have new status.
All things become new 2 Corinthians 5 verse 17:
Assurances because, His Promises are true.
