Scripture Verse Of The Week ‘Psalm 37 Verse 7’

galatians

Psalm 37 verse 7: {NKJV}

“Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for Him; Do not fret because of him {or her} who prospers in his {or her} way, Because of the man {or woman} who brings wicked schemes to pass”.

With rest there comes a stillness, with sleep you might get some rest, but still  be unfulfilled

We often toss and turn in our sleep, and do not have a good night rest, which I have found sometimes after the busyness of days activities, so I have learned to turned to the scriptures as I always do on most subjects, and I am I am learning, relearning to, “rest in The Lord and wait patiently for Him”.

Learning to Rest in Him, and not worry about whether, I am going to have a good sleep or not. Rest in Him, just enjoying His presence around my life, I may lay in that state for sometime, and then without thinking about it, doze off, but then when I wake, wake refreshed, because I first waited on Him.

There is nothing unusual some might say, but I have found from what, He wants me to learn, when I do wake up, after what seems to be a short time of actual sleep, I am somehow more refreshed, then getting several hours more sleep.

Call off the doctors! I am not subscribing to a new sleep pattern, I am and just simply saying, I have learned more of the awesomeness of resting IN Him.

Matthew 11 verse 28 and 29:

V 28:“Come to Me, all of you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest”.

V 29: “All of you, take My yoke and learn from Me, because I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for yourselves”.

Let us all learn to rest more in Him, and the cares of the world will be come less burdensome.

God Bless.
