Our faith and our actions should grow through adversity, because if we are looking at Christianity to be exempt from problems, we may as well not look. When we look at Christianity for fullness of life, that is what we will find.
The Manufactures Handbook {The Bible} is complete with life’s instruction to the believer. James 1 verses 2 to 5: shows us how to manage problems from the perspective of Calvary.
V2: “Consider it a great joy, my brothers {and sisters}, whenever you experience various trials”.
V3: “ Knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance”.
V4: “But endurance must do its complete work, so that you may be mature and complete. lacking nothing”.
V5 “Now if any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives to all generously and without criticizing, and it will be given to him {or her}”.
Through Christ Jesus’ example in His death and resurrection, we are able to V1: ‘consider it a great joy’. The example brings an understanding of the process by which God produces people who bear the image of Christ Jesus.
Christian life is like a journey, so with most ways of growth in Christianity, there needs to be a passing through. Our trials exercise our faith, our faith needs to be exercised, other wise our faith will become stagnate. the exercise produces action, and build up our spiritual muscles. Muscles represent strength and we to remain strong, In growing strength comes stamina which gives us greater endurance. Endurance hanging on in-spite of the fears and doubts about our problems, builds maturity.
Maturity in our faith, will lead us to truly understand, John 15 verse 5:
“I {Jesus} am the vine; you are the branches. The one who remains in Me and I in him {or her} produce much fruit, because you can do nothing without me”.
Maturity in faith, will also help us to understand, 2 Corinthians 12 verse 9:
“But He said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for power is perfected in weakness, so that Christ power may reside in me”.
The blessing of becoming mature in Christ, is nothing to any challenges we may occur along the way.
God Bless.
