Sunday Encouragement

encourage

If this is your day for rest, like us all you still need encouragement. Be encouraged by this wonderful scripture from Psalm 42 verse 1:

Psalm 42 verse 1:

“As a deer longs for streams of water, so I long for You, God.”

Long for Our God! Many Christians have got it wrong, in what they long for, longing for this, longing for that. We shouldn’t even long for church. Church is a corporate place of worship, fellowship and instruction, but nothing can be bigger in our lives than Our Lord, Our Redeemer and Our Friend, Who we worship there and take with us in our everyday lives.

It is also wrong to allow ourselves to get addicted to anything, but we should get addicted to Our Loving Creator God.

As the dear longs for the stream of water, to refresh it daily activity, so should we long for God, to refresh us in our daily activities of life. To long for God, means we must get in touch with the deep thirst that is at the center of our beings and acknowledge our basic helplessness. Basic helplessness! that may be a hard concept, because no one likes to be dependent, if they have to be.

Galatians 2 verses 19 and 20 tells us, what happens to us, when we accepted Christ Jesus, as Our Lord, Our Savior, Our Redeemer and Our Friend.

First: We have been crucified with Christ.

Second: We no longer live the way we used to, because we no longer live, under the spirit of self, but Christ lives in me.

Third: The life we now live in the flesh, we live by faith in Christ.

We have emptied ourselves of all that is foreign to God, so to fill that void, our Longing must be for more of Him.

It is part of the genetic nature of the dear to long for water as a part of life.  We as believers should have as part of our new creation genetic nature, to long for more of Our Loving Creator God..

Be Blessed Today And Everyday.
