Faith In Action ‘Knowledge’

It is clear that Scripture does not call on us to know as little as possible; rather, the more we know, the more our faith, our conviction in the Truth of our beliefs, can grow.

Hosea  verse 6; ‘My people are destroyed through lack of knowledge”.

Believing that Jesus literally walked the earth, and was crucified, and rose from the dead are cornerstone beliefs. These beliefs are nonnegotiable for those who claim to be Christian.

We need to know for ourselves that the message of Christianity is true. We don;t belong to some blind faith organization. Imagine if we called ourselves builders, but only had a concept of putting a house together, but Proverbs  verses 3 and 4: tells us:

V3: “A house is built by wisdom, and it is established by understanding;”

V4: “By knowledge the rooms are filled with every precious and beautiful treasure.”

We are not talking about a college degree. intelligence and education alone doesn’t make someone fit to serve God. Indeed an educated person can hide behind his or her learning in order to avoid dealing with God. Young Saul fell into this trap Acts 22 verse 3 and 5.

Learning through relationship. When we become Christians the Holy Spirit comes to reside inside us, it is important we get to know more and more about our house Guest. {1 Corinthians 6 verse 19}

Learning through relationship, 2 Peter 3 verse 18: “ But grow in Grace and Knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ”

Learning through relationship, Ephesians 3 verse 19: “And to know the Messiah’s love that surpasses knowledge, so you may be filled with all the fullness of God.”

Learning through relationship,To know Him , is to love Him, To reverence Him. to trust Him, To give our all to Him. Proverbs 1 verse 7: The fear {reverence} of The Lord is the beginning of knowledge.”

Jeremiah 29 verse 11: “‘For I know the plans, I have for you’— this is The Lord’s declaration—’plans for your welfare. not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope”.

Ask Our Lord and Our Friend, about the knowledge we will need, and the best way to achieve that knowledge, in His Plans for all our lives, it starts with a daily relationship with Him.

God Bless.
