Being Gracious

gracious

We all know Our Lord and Our Friend is gracious, but we must be like Him.

Philippians $ verse 5; States:

“Let your graciousness be known to everyone. The Lord is near”.

This is from the Apostle Paul’s writing to the church in the city of Philippi. They were a gracious church, They were generous to Paul, sending him financial help time and time again.

There graciousness was known, but strife had come to the church. In chapter 4, Paul addresses the problem. “i urge you Euodia and I urge you Syntyche to agree in the Lord”.

There was division but Paul was urging the Graciousness, for which the church was known, could be used by Euodis and Syntyche to solve the situation.

I am sure we can all relate that relationships can be a major source of stress. Gracious means kind and courteous. Kindness is one of “The Fruits of The Spirit, and courtesy, is how we would like to be treated.

if we can’t put out all fires, at least we can lower the heat, by being kind and courteous {Gracious }. Humility is often called ‘bridled strength, so by being ‘kind and courteous, it doesn’t mean being weak and insipid. It means we are moderate in our reactions and pleasant in our demeanors.

Proverbs 15 verse 1: tells us: “A gentle answer turns away anger, but a harsh word stir up wrath”.

Let our Graciousness be known to  everyone.

Our Lord and Our Friend is always near us, that is His promise. We don’t need to worry, for Our Lord and Our Friend, is with us, near us, all around us. Practicing His presence day and night is of great comfort to the people of God’

We were accepted into His Kingdom by Grace, graciousness is apart of our living In Him. Be gracious in all we do. and the situations will change, because, Our Lord and Our friend is near, and a very present help in time of need or trouble.

One of the Actions of our Faith should be ‘Graciousness’

God Bless.
