Faith In Action ‘Responsibility’

responsibilty

Since creation we have all had trouble with being responsible.

Genesis 3 verse 12 “It was the woman, you gave me who gave me the fruit and I did eat.”[Adams story]

Adam could have said “I didn’t think I should eat that because God was very clear in what He said.”

That is a story of failing responsibility.

There are others in the bible, whoever that did meet there responsibilities.

Sadrach, Mesach and Abendigo were about to be thrown into a fiery furnace. They could have blamed each other for their circumstances, but listen to what they said collectively.

Daniel 3 verse 17 to 18 “If we are thrown into the blazing furnace, the God we serve is able tosave us, but even if He doesn’t, we want to make it clear to you, your majesty, that we will never serve your gods.

Wow that is commitment! And also it’s ultimately our responsibility to be willing to suffer consequences of serving The most High God.

Responsibility of our calling: Mathew 4 verse 19 to 20.

Follow me He {Jesus} told them, and I will make you fishers of people. Immediately they left their nets and follow Him.”

Romans 14 verse 12 “Then each of us will give an account of  himself {themselves} to God.  We have to be responsible for all our actions.

Galatians 6 verse 10 “Therefore as we have opportunity, we must work for the good of all especially for those who belong to the household of faith.

We need to be responsible to each other.

We don’t have an excuse if we are following Our Lord, self interest must not come first, we must work for the good of all because we will give an account of ourselves to the Lord.

1 Timothy 6 verse 20  “Guard what is entrusted to you. Be responsible for what has been given to you.

A measure of our faith is the responsibility we show.

We are called with a purpose.

We are called for such a time as this and Our Lord and Our Friend wants to use us as a vessel without excuse.

May The Lord richly bless you as you grow in the responsibility of your calling.

Self control our previous post is a good start to having responsibility.

God Bless
