Faith In Action ‘Many May Oppose’

The best way to put it, The Lord drafted Jeremiah, into a vocation where the ongoing enemy attacks were a surety.  The Lord enlisted a young Jeremiah for a life calling, to proclaim His message without fear.

Through our acceptance of The Lord, we are not just enlisted for service, we are grafted into the family of God. We are adopted into His family. As a family member, it should be our joy, to share and proclaim The Lord’s message without fear.

Sure enough in Jeremiah’s case those who did not want to hear God’s truth attacked Jeremiah. His knockers spread false rumors about him. They imprisoned him, flogged him, put him in stocks. Later they threw him into a muddy well and left him there to die. If that wasn’t bad enough, even former friends sought to take their revenge against him.

The Lord rescued Jeremiah each time, but not always before he was scared. So being scared, should never delude our confidence, in The Lord’s ability to help us.

Jeremiah more than once was tempted to just give it all away and go back to his home. Sometimes the challenges in our own lives, may make us feel like that. Like Jeremiah, we too might agonizes over the prosperity of the wicked or the lives of others, while we go through circumstance that are against us.

Like Jeremiah, we too are not immuned to bad things happening to us, because Jesus told us in Matthew 16 verse 24:

“Then Jesus said to His disciple, ‘If anyone wants to come with me, he {or she} must deny himself {or herself] take up their cross, and follow Me’.”

Like Jeremiah, we also can cling to the promise of The Lord’s protecting presence, Matthew 28 verse 20:

“And remember. ‘I am with you always, to the end of the age”.

Like Jeremiah we have a privileged task to complete, to share and witness, The Amazing Grace, that rescued each of us. Romans 8 verse 35:

“Who can separate us from the Love of Christ? Can affliction or anguish or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword?’

Romans 8 verse 38 and 39

V38: “For I am persuaded that neither death not life, nor angels, nor rulers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers,”

V39: “Nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing will have the power to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus Our Lord”.

Glean from Jeremiah his commitment, to stay on task, to proclaim the Lord’s message without fear., and be persuaded as The Apostle Paul says in Romans.

God Bless.
