Paul was called Saul, before Christ Jesus took his attention, and gave Paul a new purpose and destiny. Acts 9 verse 1 to 9:
Christ Jesus’ empowerment is not for self-serving. He gives His followers sufficient power to deal with life. My Grace is sufficient for you: 2 Corinthians 12 verse 9:
Christ Jesus sent His disciples into the world, not so we can be self serving, but for the good of others. Clearly He had a global impact in mind, that, what He has given us, we will pass on to others.
As sad as it might seem to some people, but we are physically going to die some day. Psalm 39 verse 5:
“You, indeed, have made my days shot in lenght, and my life span is nothing in Your sight. Yes, every mortal man is only a vapor”.
That is when our real eternal life starts. Most people are living if there is no tomorrow, but we were created for much more. We were created for fellowship with God.
Psalm 39 does not disparage achievements in life, but it does urge us to slow down and consider the meaning of life.
We are created for purpose and destiny, the purpose is fellowship with The God that created us, the destiny is an eternal destiny with Him. So all the hustle and bustle of this present age, has little purpose without His purpose and destiny for our lives.
God so loved that He provided a way, for all to come and have that eternal destiny with Him. John 3 verse 16: When a ‘whosoever’, responds to God’s call in repentance and faith, God responds to that faith by thinking of the person’s wrong-doings {sins} as forgiven and by thinking Of Christ’s righteousness as belonging to that person. At that very moment. God also declares that person righteous in His Sight.
Which gives us a new destiny and purpose, which is never about us, but always about Him. With that new purpose and destiny, comes His all embracing Grace, which will always be sufficient for us.
New purpose and destiny, Philippians 4 verse 13: “I am able to do all things through Him who strengthens me”.
God Bless.
