Thoughts On Heaven

Popular opinion seems to think, heaven is a place where people sprout wings or even become angels, wear halos and play on harps.

But what is heaven really like?

Heaven is a beautiful place to think about, yet God has chose not to tell us very much about it, He told us, through His Word that it exists, and some day His people will join Him there.

And it is not judgmental to say, that if we want to live in a different country,we must meet the requirements of the laws that exist, to live in that country. Every country has boarder security, and people can be refused entry. A person may not be allowed into a particular country with a criminal record.

So with that in mind, if we want to get into heaven, isn’t it right to expect, we must meet the requirements to enter. The Bible gives us limited information of what heaven is like. God wants us to concentrate our efforts on becoming Christ like people in the here and the now.

To live as Kingdom people now, as a rehearsal of Kingdom people in the eternal realm of Heaven. Just as a criminal record will not get you into certain countries—unrepented {wrong-doings} and genuine repentance, will keep us from coming into the presence of a Holy God in His eternal heaven.

The Good News, is just that Good News: John 3 verse 16:

“For God so loved the world in this way. He gave His One and Only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life”.

A ‘Whosoever is allowed to enter, if we believe, ask for forgiveness and receive.

To all those, who think they might have fallen off side with God, More Good News. 1 John 1 verse 9:

“If we confess our sins {wrong-doings against Him}, He is faithful and righteous to forgive our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness”.

The Real Good News is: 1 Corinthians 2 verse 9:

“But as it is written: What no eye has seen and no ear has heard, and what has never come into a man’s heart, is what God has prepared for those who love Him”.

God Bless.
