To compromise God’s truth or God’s ways or God’s Word or our Christian life is to negotiate away our holiness walk with Him.
Compromise is the art of negotiation so that both sides can win. there may be times to compromise in our dealing through life, but there are times not to compromise.
There are a few reasons why compromise might be an easy way out, but not the right way out.
An example from the life of King Saul, 1 Samuel 15 verse 24;
“Saul answered Samuel, ‘I have sinned. I have transgressed the Lord’s commands and your words. Because i was afraid of the people. I obeyed them’.”
Saul was a King, in one way it is good to have a politician who listens to the people. but to disobey The Lord, because of the people wishes, is not real leadership at all, because The Lord always know what is best for all of us, all of the time.
We compromise when we just follow the crowd, Exodus 23 verse 2;
“You must not follow the crowd in wrongdoing. Do not testify in a lawsuit and go along with a crowd to pervert justice”.
Following the crowds will get us in to more trouble in life and in our walk with, Our Lord and Our Friend. We have a leadership role, because we are Kingdom Of God people.
Compromising on the things of God never bring a blessing to anyone. Psalm 119 verse 1 and 2; {Message Bible}
“You’re blessed when you stay on course, walking steadily on the road revealed by God. You’re blessed when you follow His directions, doing your best to find Him”.
We would be stupid to compromise any good friendship or relationship, we would be even more stupid, if we did anything to damage our journey through Life, with Our Lord and Friend. He Love us so much, He gave Himself for us, so we could walk, in the Newness of life He has for us.
God Bless.
