Our Lord and Our Friend’s one guiding principle on the use of money is generosity. While the wealthy throw into the collection and donations a few coins that they can spare, in the Gospel of Luke we see Jesus watching what various people did with their offerings.
Luke 21 verse 1 to 4:
V1: “He {Jesus} looked up and saw the rich dropping their offerings into the temple treasury” V2 He also saw a poor widow dropping in two tiny coins V3 ‘I tell you the truth’, He said. ‘This poor widow has put in more than all of them. V4 For.all these people have put in gifts out of their surplus, but she out of her poverty has put in all she had to live on’.”
Our Lord and Our Friend was moved by her selflessness and her grateful and wholehearted generosity
God has bestowed on us so much, and we own nothing technically anyway, because we can’t take it with us. With what he has given us and allows us to have, lets all reflect the selflessness and generosity, that Our Lord and Our Friend saw in the poor widow.
Remember whatever we do, we do for the Glory of God, let our finances be apart of the whatever, that will bring Glory to Him.
God Bless.
