1 Corinthians 15 verse 1:

“Now brothers {and sisters}, I {Paul} want to clarify for you the gospel I proclaimed to you, you received it and have taken your stand on it.”

In 1 Corinthians 15 verse 3 to 7; The apostle Paul, calls his summary of Christ’s death, burial and resurrection as the gospel.

Paul is suggesting that these doctrines comprise the core truth of the Good News  of Salvation.

The Gospel is The Good News – The Good News of God’s extraordinary love,and the extraordinary process Our Lord and Our Friend took, by dying in our place, to restore our relationship and companionship with Him and The father and The Holy Spirit.

Death – Burial – Resurrection:

To Accept Christ as Lord of our lives, involves, Death, Burial and Resurrection:

Death – We die to ourselves, we don’t lose our personality or any of our abilities, but the self part of us is dead.

Burial – This is what we do in baptism, going under the water, is symbolic of burying our old life.

Resurrection – We rise out of the waters of Baptism, with New life, Resurrection life, that Jesus paid in full for us on the cross.

We are on a journey through this world, either with self and striving in control. or

With the help of the Holy Spirit, through repentance and acceptance, and new life in Christ Jesus,

That is The Good News. The reason why we were created, and is the destiny we were created for. Our Personality and Our abilities also get used for what they are created for the service and in the companionship of Our Lord  and Our Friend.

Salvation – The Good News – Brings us destiny and purpose..
