Be seed planters by reflecting on the story of the Sower. Mathew 13 verses 3 to 23, Mark 4 verses 2 to 20 and Luke 8 verses 4 to 15.
Seed produces seed, we must plant seed to produce seed. We should always plant with good seed, plant from the seeds of the good fruit in our lives which come from Our Lord and Our Friend. The fruit we produce, through our journey through life, builds a testimony. Build a life story from which we can share our faith.
Faith is a seed, and we can plant seed of faith into lives of the people we meet. Sowing in the western world society can be sowing in hard ground. The storms of life. self -centeredness, bitterness, anxiety, UN-forgiveness and uncertainty, has set the ground in people lives like concrete.
But seed are amazing things, if we look around at the solid rock, man made edifices of concrete, a plant can be growing in a crack. Most people put on a brave face, but underneath cracks in all our lives can be found.
Fortunately for us we are building our lives on solid Rock {Christ Jesus} and any failing cracks in our lives, can be overcome with His help.
I was privileged to meet, in my taxi, a young lady Jenna. Jenna was very pleasant and interesting to to talk with. We talked on many things and agreed there was something wrong with society today, As Jenna was leaving the taxi I asked did she have a faith in God. “No” was Jenna response. I still asked Jenna could I give her our ministry card anyway, and asked her what she did believe. Her response was quick but unconvincing evolution. To which I replied, “have you ever though how that could be”, And went on to say “it could explain why people are crackers, because they come from a big bang, but as for myself I know I was created by a loving God.”
“Oh” Jenna said, with no answer to what I said. I also explained about our web site mylordmyfriend.com. Jenna thank me and said ” she would make an effort to look at it.”
I truly believe the Holy Spirit planted a seed in Jenna life, where she will start to question what she really believes. I prayed the Holy Spirit would bring someone to water that seed, and bring Jenna to a place where she can find Our Lord and Our friend for herself.
Later that night I met Phillip, we talk but Phillip didn’t accept our card, but again I believe a seed was planted in the conversation we had and that the Holy Spirit again would bring someone along to water it.
Lets be content with the faith we share with the people we meet, that they will have a further encounter with the Holy Spirit, from the seed we helped to plant.
Be a seed planter out of our faith for Our Lord and Our Friend..
God Bless.
