– The Kid.

How do you respond when everything in life seems to be going badly. Well there is one example in 1 Kings 19. Elijah.

Elijah experience comes as an encouragement, the great man of God has a weakness and his emotions really were just like ours.

Elijah became physically tired.

Elijah became emotionally and spiritually drained.

Elijah felt lonely.

Elijah was afraid.

Does that sound like a great man or woman of God. We are all created with emotions and God wants us to use them all.

2 Corinthians 12 verse 9  “My grace is sufficient for you, for power is perfected in weakness.” Therefore i will most gladly boast all the more about my weakness, so that Christ’s power may reside in me.

Elijah as we know was an Old  Testament character, but he knew the power of God, because he had often used it.

God did not abandon Elijah, so God will never abandon us. Read His promise Hebrews 13 verse 5.

Elijah achieved great things for God, but he was only a man like the rest of us, created in the image of God, a three part being, Body, Soul and Spirit.

We tend to forget God uses ordinary people to do extraordinary things, but life may still over take us.

Psalm 23 verse 4 “Even though I go though the darkness valley, I fear no danger, for You {God} are with me:your rod and your staff they comfort me.

Anxiety is an emotion, God wants us to express all our emotions to Him, both Good and Bad. It is by the word of our testimonies, testimonies meaning the things we have done and gone through good and bad, that will help others understand the Hope we have in Our Lord and Our Friend.

Remember the word Through, and also remember GOD IS WITH US through it, for guidance,  help and comfort.

Proverbs 12 verse 25 “Anxiety in the heart, weighs one down , but a good word, makes one glad.”

Philippians 4 verse 6  “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, present your request to God.”

We are never alone, once we ask the King of Kings to come into your life. He will be the best friend we will ever have.

God Bless.

  1. Anxiety can be such a cruel invader and sneak up on us!! As I have discovered over the last twelve months. Father has graciously used His word and encouraged me to line my thinking and talking with His words and realize through Him the battle has been won!! Every day listening to his words not the words of weariness and fear and doubt. Great topic…. really needed. 🙂

    • It’s so true. We often let the Shadow of the Mountain that’s our problem cover us and cower us in fear, and dread, and anxiety. When in reality we have the power and authority to tell that mountain, to up and throw itself into the sea. Woe be our natural mind. Give me the voice of my Father and the guidance of the Holy Spirit any day!

Thanks for stopping by, and thanks for the comment!
