Effective Ministry

In Romans the Apostle Paul explains the effectiveness of his ministry.

It was centered in the Gospel, The Good News.

Romans 15 Verse 16: “to be a minister of Christ Jesus to the Gentiles, serving as a priest of God’s good news. My purpose is that the offering of the Gentiles may be acceptable, stratified by the Holy Spirit”.

It was done for the glory of God

Romans 15 Verse 17: “Therefore I have reason to boast in Christ Jesus regarding what pertains to God”.

Paul was not bragging about his ministry, we are not to brag out the things we do for the Lord, but we can boast in what Our Lord and Our Friend has done.

It was done by God’s power.

Romans 15 verse 18: “For i would not dare say anything except what Christ has accomplished through me to make the Gentiles obedient by word and deed:,

It was according to God’s plan.

Romans 15 Verse 20: ” So my aim is to evangelize where Christ has not named, in order that I will not be building on someone else’s foundation”.

Each of these purposes is still applicable today. Methods may change to meet changing historical and cultural situations, but the underlying purpose that make ministry effective are the same for us as they were for the Apostle Paul.

We quote it often: Jeremiah 29 Verse 11:

God has purposes for our lives, if we trust and follow Him.

God Bless.
