Ministry of Reconciliation

2 Corinthians 5:17-18 “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. Now all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation.”

Verse 19 “That is, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation.”

Our Lord and Friend has called each one of us to the ministry of reconciliation; the word of reconciliation. How amazing is the Gospel , the power of God unto salvation. This wonderful truth that Almighty God was in Christ, reconciling the world to Himself. What powerful love is that? Verse 19 TPT says ‘not even keeping records of their transgressions”.

Our lives are to be a message of God’s love to everyone we know. Our words, deeds and lifestyle communicating to everyone, saved or not saved, that God wants all men to come to a knowledge of the saving truth in Christ.

Verse 20 TPT “we are ambassadors of the Anointed One who carry the message of Christ to the world, as though God were tenderly pleading with them directly through our lips. So we tenderly plead with you on Christ’s behalf, “turn back to God and be reconciled to Him”.
