2025 a Year of Release
In these beginning days of this year 2025, the word at our church is that this is a year of release.
Deuteronomy 6:23 “then He brought us from there that He might bring us in”, and Hebrews 10:23 “let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering for He who promised is faithful.”
We have all walked through different challenges in 2024 and would also recall victories that we celebrated, remembering that the Lord promises rewards to those who overcome. Our Lord and Friend is faithful, and He promised that He would never leave us nor forsake us. He is the One who leads us in triumph and strengthens us day by day.
So as we walk into 2025, in what areas are you looking to the Lord in hope for release? “Release” in the Oxford Dictionary is 1. “allow or enable to escape from confinement; set free” also 2. “allow(something) to move, act or flow freely”. What are you ‘hoping’ for? Do you have a promise from the Scriptures that you are standing on, confessing by faith and looking to the One who is faithful to show you the way of escape?
I love Proverbs 18:10 in The Passion Translation. “The character of God is a tower of strength, for the lovers of God delight to run into His heart and be exalted on high”. Wow. The character of our Lord and Friend is a tower of strength. We can delight to run into His heart and know we are safe and secure. We can trust and rely on His faithfulness and goodness and power.
May the One Who is able to do ‘exceedingly abundantly above and beyond what we could ask or think according to the power at work in us”, bring revelation and fresh understanding and release to our hearts in 2025.
Shalom. Kath
