Galatians 3 Verse 6: “Just as Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him for righteousness”,
In the New testament, Abraham is remembered for one thing, he trusted God. Genesis 15 verse 6.
God said, ‘go’, and Abraham went, God said, ‘I will bless you and make your name great,’ and Abraham said sounds, ‘sound great’. God said, ‘I am your shield and protector.’ Abraham said, ”Praise the Lord’.
Abraham believed God and was blessed. When we believe God, we share in the blessings of Abraham. {Galatians 3 Verse 9}
The word credited or reckoned, the original word in Greek was “logizomal” is related to the English word ‘logic’. It means reckon, compute, calculate or take into account. For believing God, Abraham was numbered among the righteous. {Romans 4 Verse 3}
Reckoned {credited} to him as righteousness. Adam distrusted God and became a sinner, but Abraham trusted God and was reckoned [credited} righteous.
He was not reckon {credited} righteous on account of his right living or promise keeping, but on account of his faith in God.
Therefore, be sure, know and understand, those who are of faith, are those who trust God.
God Bless.
