In a lot of peoples the concept of God, is He is either irrelevant or doesn’t exist.
To a believer these concepts, appear to be hard to understand, but we are looking at the people, who belong to a different kingdom, a kingdom where we once lived.
We now belong to the Kingdom of God, and our King loves us, not just as subjects of the His kingdom, but as people He knows and loves individually. Perhaps we may have accepted The way, into this New Kingdom, but we still might not know, the awesomeness of The Kingdom that is available to us.
The people of the world, have not generally known anything outside the understanding of their kingdom, so when someone comes along living differently and not just a verbal difference, they act defensively and dismiss the difference.
The difference in our lives, should help us understand the concept of God that the people of the world have. perhaps our approach to the people of the world should be, as Peter and John in Acts Chapter 3 verse 6;
“”But Peter said,’I neither silver nor gold, but what i have, I give you: In the Name of Jesus Christ the Nazarene, get up and walk’.”
Just like the cripple man in this story, he was expecting to get help, that is why he went to the temple complex. The world is longing for something, people can’t satisfy because they have there own agenda and walk passed, silver and gold which the man was expecting, and thought would lift him out of his predicament would not be a lasting fix.
But the people of God had the answer. “What I have, I give you; In the Name of My Lord and My Friend I give you,” The cripples needs in the story were satisfied by The Name, and because his needs were satisfied, in a better way than he ever expected, he became a real witness for the Kingdom of God.
Let us all build into our lives, more than a concept of God, but the Power and Authority that comes from the deepness of His Word. and being His Kingdom people.
Go into all the world and make disciple, out of His fullness we have taken the time to build in our lives, then we to can say to the people of this world, ‘Such as we have in The Name of Jesus’, and see their lives transformed.
Remembering it is never about us, it is always about Him.
God Bless.
