We must learn to rejoice in God for Himself, not because He makes us happy or solves our problems. Then we, too, will find God is our strength and that we can rise in joy above every situation.

1 Thessalonians 5 verse 16: Tells us: “Rejoice always”.

Then gives other tasks we should do that will help us, find God as our strength.

V17: “Pray constantly”. {Talk with Our Lord and Our Friend constantly}.

V18: “Give thanks in everything, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus”.

V19: “Don’t stifle The Spirit”.

V20: “Don’t despise prophecy”.

V21; “but test all things, Hold on to what is good”.

Really make Him, our best Friend, and we will find it hard not to rejoice.
